About the event
Ḥazon (Revelation) 21 is the chapter where the story opens into eternity.
After the final judgment in chapter 20, Yoḥanan sees a renewed heaven and a renewed earth. The old world, marked by sin, death, pain, and corruption, has passed away. Now Elohim reveals what He prepared from the beginning.
Then Yoḥanan sees the renewed Yerushalayim coming down from heaven, prepared like a bride for her husband. This city is not built by man. It comes from Elohim, filled with His esteem and shining with His glory.
The greatest promise in this chapter is not only the city, but the presence of Elohim Himself.
He will dwell with His people.
He will wipe away every tear.
