About the event

TURN TO ME WITH ALL YOUR HEART

Yom Teruah, the Ten Days of Awe, and Yom Kippur

What does the sound of the shofar really mean? Why does Yom Teruah call us to wake up, and what should happen in our hearts during the Ten Days of Awe before Yom Kippur?

Join us as we look at the Hebraic meaning of Teruah, Teshuvah, and Kippur, and how they point us to repentance, atonement, and preparation for the coming King.

The shofar is sounding. The call is clear. Wake up. Return. Be prepared.

Weekly Readings

A parashah (פָּרָשָׁה) is a weekly Torah portion—one section of the five books of Moses that, together with the others, completes the whole Torah each year. This ancient rhythm of reading goes back more than two thousand years and is still practiced in Jewish communities all around the world today. By following this cycle, we join in a global conversation that has been happening week after week, generation after generation.
