Community Group Guildelines

A place to explore, ask and learn together. Our groups are here to encourage meaningful conversation, respectful discussion and genuine exploration of Scripture. You don't have to agree with everyone. In fact, different perspectives can help us think more deeply. What matters is how we engage with one another. 1. Be respectful - Treat every person with dignity and kindness, regardless of their beliefs, - background, experience or level of understanding. Challenge ideas, not people. 2. Ask questions freely - There are no "silly" questions. If you don't understand something, ask. If something doesn't make sense, say so. If you've been taught something different, you're welcome to share your perspective. 3. Keep Scripture at the centre. When discussing biblical topics, where possible, share the relevant Scripture and consider its context. Remember that there can be a difference between: • What Scripture says • What we understand Scripture to mean • What we have been taught Scripture means 5. Respect different stages of the journey. Some members may have studied Scripture for decades. Others may be opening a Bible for the first time. Don't use someone's lack of know. 6. Protect people's privacy - Please don't share another member's personal information, private conversations, photographs or prayer requests outside the community without their permission. What someone shares personally should be treated with care.
